SEEKING LETTERS OF INTEREST - The OVUU School Board is in search of community members who are interested in joining the board. There are two vacant board seats available: 1) Brandon Representative and 2) Pittsford Representative. The individuals appointed to these positions must reside in the respective towns and will serve until the next election in March 2024. Letters of interest must be submitted by Thurs. Nov. 2 to Melinda Piper at mpiper@rnesu.org stating which seat you would like to be considered for and explaining why you would be a valuable addition to the Board. The Board will make a decision during the OVUU School Board meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will take place at the OVUHS Library.
The Middle School will hold a Fall Dance on Friday, October 27th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the large cafeteria. Music will be provided by the Vermont DJ Company Jam Man Entertainment. The cost will be $3.00 per student. Permission slips are required for entry. Students can get permission slips from their advisory teachers. Refreshments will be on sale during the dance. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Prizes will be awarded for the scariest, the most creative, and the funniest costumes. Only Otter Valley 7th and 8th graders are allowed to attend this event.

REMINDER - This Friday, September 15th, is the first Early Release Day for the 2023-2024 School Year. These Early Release Days are critical in allowing staff to work collaboratively in their buildings and across all school in RNESU to review data and develop lessons that respond to the needs of students. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school.
OVUU SCHOOL BOARD SEEKS NEW MEMBERS - The OVUUSD Board is seeking interested parties to fill two vacant board seats: 1) Brandon Rep 2) Pittsford Rep.
The appointed school board members for these seats must be a resident of the respective town and would serve through to the next election in March 2024.
Interested parties should send a letter identifying the seat they wish to be considered for and outlining why they would be a good addition to the Board to Melinda Piper at mpiper@rnesu.org by no later than Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
The Board intends to take action at the following OVUU School Board meeting on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the OVUHS Library.
